GET BEAUTIFUL BALAYAGE AT IVY & OAK
Balayage is a highlighting technique created to mimic what the sun naturally does to lighten the hair. The techniques creates a soft, more “natural” dimensional effect. To achieve this look, artist are trained in the art of “sweeping” their color brushes to create soft blended dimension.
A clay based lightener is used and processed open air with plastic instead of foils. The softness is created by less lightness at the root and getting more brightness towards the mids and ends of where the balayage is placed. This dark to light effect allows for less maintenance s you can go long in between touchups.
Balayage tends to be a longer service and cost more because it isn’t always a basic pattern like traditional highlights. Instead the artist must take the time to carefully and artistically place the balayage in a strategic manner.
All Blonding services like Balayage, Dimensional Blonding, Babylights, Highlighting, etc. are considered “Custom Blonding” at Ivy + Oak.
